A2IM’s Let’s Get Digital Tech Summit Returns for Second Year December 9-10, 2021

Curated Panels Take a Dive into Key Topics for Independents in Tech

New York , 8th November 2021

A2IM is excited to announce Let’s Get Digital, a two-day online summit taking place December 9-10 and aimed at creating opportunities between independent record labels, digital service providers, technology solutions, and other music industry professionals. Returning for its second year, Let’s Get Digital will connect the independent music community through a series of online workshops, executive one-on-one networking sessions, and lively discussions on trending music-tech topics, new technologies, and licensing solutions.

From digital marketing and expanding diversity to buzzy fitness and NFT technology and sync opportunities in the fitness tech sphere, attendees will learn how to leverage the latest for themselves and their artists.

A highlight of this year’s Let’s Get Digital includes a panel series on NFTs (non-fungible tokens) that will give a look at what part the increasingly popular digital assets have played in the music world. Speakers include Aluna, internationally-acclaimed dance artist (Mad Decent) and part of British electronic duo AlunaGeorge; Rasty Turek, Founder and CEO of Pex, the trusted global leader in digital rights technology; as well as Paula Van Der Waerden, Co-Founder, Head of Partnerships at RCRDSHP and Bruno Guez, CEO at Revelator.

The Lightning Talk four-part series “Digital Marketing/Fresh Takes” provides a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most successful digital marketing campaigns this year. The series includes presentations from EMPIRE’s Moody Jones, (SVP of Digital & Creative) who oversees over 200 releases a month and helps artists navigate their digital rollouts, and Peter Kadin (VP of Marketing), a music industry expert with over a decade of experience in marketing, public relations, content development, discussing how they worked to bring late R&B singer and actress Aaliyah to streaming services.

Sarah Wefald, Senior Product Manager at Stem, will moderate a conversation on fintech that spotlights a new breed of financial services companies who are creating ways to normalize payment structures so that artists and labels can make consistent money from streaming services.

Curated panels at Let’s Get Digital 2021 include the following, with more programming to be announced at a later date:
