Bucks Records will release a brand new studio recording of Patrick Doyle’s King Charles III Coronation March, performed by the esteemed Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and recorded at the world-famous AIR Studios in London.
Doyle’s King Charles III Coronation March was commissioned by His Majesty the King and originally performed as part of the Coronation service in 2023, which aired to over half a billion viewers globally.
Marking the third anniversary of the Coronation, this new recording will be released across all major digital platforms on 6 May 2026, offering a definitive version of the work, which was first heard live during the historic ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
Patrick Doyle is one of the most distinguished composers working today, with an astonishing career spanning more than five decades across film, theatre and the concert hall. His film score credits include Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Thor and Rise of the Planet of the Apes, with his music reaching audiences of over a billion worldwide.
Beyond the screen, Doyle has composed a number of acclaimed concert works, including The Thistle and the Rose, also commissioned by King Charles III in honour of The Queen Mother’s 90th birthday, Tam O’Shanter for the Scottish Schools Orchestra Trust, and Piano Fantasia, premiered in Kraków in 2022.
A recipient of numerous international honours, Doyle has been nominated for two Academy Awards, two Césars and two Golden Globes, and has received lifetime achievement awards from the World Soundtrack Awards and BAFTA Scotland, as well as the ASCAP Henry Mancini Award and the PRS Award for Extraordinary Achievement in Music.

It was a humbling experience, quite daunting actually, to join the legacy of great composers who have gone before me in this commission – Elgar, Purcell, Walton. I am absolutely delighted with this recording. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra have truly brought this piece to life and it conjures wonderful memories of that historic day.”
