London, 24th June 2021

ATC Management announces the appointment of Sumit Bothra to Managing Director of it’s European Management Operations.

Sumit, who has played a pivotal role in ATC’s growth and evolution over the past decade, represents artists including PJ Harvey, Katie Melua, Fink, Nathan Nicholson, and Tom King.

A hugely experienced executive, he has worked in the industry since attending the Wharton Business School, where he began his career promoting artists for Virgin Records of America before moving to London to work for Sony Music. Following five years as a successful independent manager Sumit joined ATC in 2009. He is currently a board member of the UK’s Music Managers Forum (MMF).

In this newly-created role Sumit becomes the primary contact for ATC’s growing community of over 15 European-based managers and support staff, with responsibility for optimising their individual businesses, nurturing new artist and management partnerships, driving growth, and developing the company’s community outreach initiatives.

Having started as a small collective of independent managers operating under one roof, ATC has grown substantially over the past decade with offices in London, Los Angeles, and Copenhagen. As well as managing recording artists, producers, songwriters, directors and composers, the company also books tours through its agency ATC Live, produces livestream events through subsidiary company Driift, and now also operates in the sync, brand partnerships and promotions sectors through a variety of strategic partnerships.

Sumit Bothra said:

“When I first met my partners at ATC I was attracted to their entrepreneurial and forward-thinking spirit. Over the years the company has evolved into a unique environment that favours bold, emotionally-generous managers who are collaborative, compassionate, and focused on achieving rewarding and long-lasting careers for their artists.  We are a very close-knit community, where managers and artists benefit from a range of in-house services, a wealth of cumulative expertise, a global network of partners, and an essential support structure.

“As we continue to work towards protecting our people from future challenges we are increasing our focus on ATC’s songwriter, producer, and composer rosters as well as broadening our involvement across a wider range of genres – electronic, pop, R&B, and hip-hop in particular. I am also leading the charge on increasing diversity across our business, and am equally focused on our community impact initiatives. Last year we launched two mentorship and training programs with students from BIMM and SoundSkool, both of which have been immensely rewarding – both professionally and personally.”

ATC is also announcing today that three of the UK’s most promising upcoming managers – Sean Johnston, Sian Nuttall and Zakir Samad – have joined the London business.

Sean represents Jungleboi, KABBA, and songwriter Sinai Tedros who between them are currently working on projects with ZAYN, Steve Aoki, Craig David, KSI, Olivia Dean, Willow Kayne, HARLEE, and Sleepwalkrs. Sean also co-manages Tom King with Sumit.

Sian currently represents John Newman, Charlotte OC, and Roman the Cartoon – a roster with 4 No.1’s, over 3 billion streams, and hit credits for the likes of BTS, Nicki Minaj, Bishop and Rudimental.

Zakir, meanwhile, has built a growing reputation working with hip-hop acts and producers including AntsLive, Alex Noorani, and Lauren Ralph. Since joining ATC he has also taken on hotly tipped singer-songwriter, Renao.

Sumit Bothra added:

“I am proud of the fact that three very entrepreneurial managers have chosen to join our thriving community, bringing with them a world-class roster of musical talent who are already benefiting greatly from our collective strengths and global expertise. Sean, Sian, and Zakir all share our ethos of taking a very artist-centric approach to their work and it’s a great privilege to be able to help each of them build on their already successful careers.”

ATC Management’s current roster also includes Alma, Biig Piig, Cuco, Faithless, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Gioli & Assia, Isobel Waller-Bridge, Johnny Marr, Katie Melua, Kelly Lee Owens, Laura Marling, Lido, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, PJ Harvey, Santigold, Sleaford Mods and The Smile.
