Synthwave meets Trance House with Shades of Thunder's new single “How Loud Is Your Love (with Jan Johnston)”

London, 11th June 2021 Retrowave newcomers and producer duo Shades of Thunder share their second single “How Loud Is Your Love (with Jan Johnston)”, on June 11^th, via Outland Recordings, one of the world’s leading synth and retrowave music companies.

How Loud Is Your Love is an uplifting vocal retrowave track featuring a legendary songwriter and collaborator – Jan Johnston is best known for her work with the world’s top trance music DJs and producers like Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, BT and Tiesto. Here she offers a truly gifted and heartfelt vocal performance with the Viennese producers she co-wrote the track with.

Synthwave, first popularised by the soundtracks of Ryan Gosling’s Drive (2011) and Netflix’s Stranger Things, remains a niche but burgeoning sub-genre of electronic and dance music. Here and arguably as a first, the gap between electronic dance and synthwave is bridged through the collaboration of both Johnston and Shades of Thunder.
