London, 19th October 2021
The BPI Classical Committee announced the Annual BPI Classical Committee / PPL Quiz in aid of Nordoff Robbins on Wednesday, 24th of November from 6pm in The Flamingo Room, upstairs at O’Neill’s, 33-37 Wardour St, London W1D 6PU.
The seventh running of the BPI Classical Committee’s ever-popular quiz sees it returning, in person, to the Flamingo Room – where, as before, it will be compered by the wonderful Mark Wilkinson.
Before booking the venue we did an audience survey and found that the majority of people wanted the quiz to be held in person once again. The Flamingo Room has been refurbished, and allows a little more room for us to move around than we had previously. With COVID regulations in mind, we will make sure the room is really well ventilated, and where possible social distancing is applied between tables. We are assuming you have been vaccinated, but would strongly encourage you to do a lateral flow test before attending if not, as well as generally follow the Government guidance as much as possible when it comes to travelling and moving in public places.
The quiz will be held as before to win the commemorative Jeremy Elliott Trophy.
There will once again be a raffle to be held on the night – with an array of exciting spot prizes, all for £5 a ticket / £20 a strip of five.
The night is inspired by the highly successful pop quiz Nordoff Robbins have run for the last 25 years, and offers a great chance to get together with friends and colleagues – an enormously enjoyable way of raising money for the charity. Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy work with people of all ages and with a range of conditions. To see what they do, watch this video to witness how their work changes lives.
If you are interested in taking part, teams should be five or six strong, and the cost is £200 per team. If you have less than five people don’t let that put you off, as the organisers may be able to match you up with someone on a table for an appropriate donation. Tables and spare places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. We would also welcome donations of raffle prizes. Box sets are lovely – and have proved popular in previous years – but if you have other, even more imaginative prizes they will be very greatly appreciated! You don’t have to bring them to the event, they can be sent out separately.
