The Beat starring Dave Wakeling to release new LP via Absolute

London, 8th May 2018 The Beat starring Dave Wakeling is set to release an album of brand new music via Absolute Label Services.

The 13-track LP, titled Here We Go Love!, will be the first time a Dave Wakeling fronted Beat line-up has released new music since 1982.

It will hit shelves on May 25 2018, with Absolute providing a range of services including sales, marketing and distribution.

The first single from the album was How Can You Stand There?!, released on 6 April.

The Beat first hit the charts in 1979 and went on to earn five Top 10 singles with their first two albums peaking at No.3 in the charts.

The Beat starring Dave Wakeling will also tour the UK this year, kicking off in Manchester’s Club Academy on May 25 before playing for Radio 2 at the BBC Biggest Weekend in Scone Palace, Perth. From there they go to Wakefield, Newcastle and Glasgow, before hitting Liverpool’s O2 Academy2 on June 1 and then moving through Birmingham, Sheffield, Cork and Dublin before returning for London and Norwich. A trip back to Scotland will see the band visit Dunfermline and Aberdeen, and the last leg will take in Exeter, Cardiff and finally Brighton Concorde 2 on June 17.
