The Floor

The Floor is funding creators' projects

London-based creative platform, The Floor is offering up to £5,000 to fund the creators on its platform.

London , 18th May 2022 Launched in 2018, The Floor provides a suite of tools that allow creators of all disciplines to make their own income, build their own community, and decide how to value their creativity.

The Floor recognises the value in the creators that make up the platform and has announced its new Creator Fund, allowing creators to request up to £5,000. The fund aims to support those that are currently being overlooked in the vast creative economy, allowing them to bring their creative projects to life.

Previous recipients include Chiedu Oraka, who put the Creator Fund towards his EP ‘ave Life’ which has been played on BBC 1, Kiss FM, Radio 6 & 1xtra, and featured in notable publications and platforms such as GRM Daily, Notion, and Pause.

Creators can apply for any amount up to £5,000 to be used for their creative development – whether that’s to help with the release of new music, build a website, shoot a film, or purchase essential equipment. The Floor then provides successful applicants with additional support in the form of ideation meetings, a unique profile piece showcasing who they are and their work, and exclusive access to The Floor’s creative community.

The Floor Creator Fund is currently open for applications, until 11.59 pm on June 16th. More details on the fund, examples of previous recipients’ profile pieces, and where to apply can be found here https://thefloor.com/creator-fund
