UK Festivals Unite in War Child fundraiser

46 of the UK’s best festivals put tickets up for grabs including Boomtown, Love Saves The Day, Isle of Wight, Reading & Leeds and Shambala.

London, 14th May 2025

Children don’t start wars — yet nearly 1 in 5 children around the world are affected by conflict. That’s why 46 festivals across the UK are uniting to fundraise for War Child by putting tickets for their 2025 events up for grabs.

Thanks to a partnership between War Child, the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), Boomtown and Team Love (Love Saves The Day et al), music fans have a chance to win a pair of tickets to some of this summer’s hottest festivals by donating just £10 to War Child in the Festivals Unite prize draw, with entries open at 11am today (May 15 2025).

Alongside Boomtown and Love Saves The Day, UK festivals backing the fundraiser by contributing tickets to this special prize include Isle of Wight Festival, Reading & Leeds, Parklife, Shambala, 2000trees, We Out Here and more (full list below).

All funds raised will go directly toward providing life-saving aid, safe spaces, education, specialist psychological support, and long-term protection for vulnerable children around the world. With global aid cuts and increasing humanitarian crises, War Child’s work is more urgent than ever.

473 million children (more than the entire population of the USA and Canada combined) are impacted by war. Many are anxious and scared. They have lost their homes, their books, and toys. Separated from their friends and loved ones, the sound of explosions and gunfire is never far away for millions of these children.

Donations can be made via this link with every £10 donated earning one entry into the prize draw. There will be two draws: one on May 22 and another on June 2, with entries closing on June 1 2025 at 23:59PM BST.

War Child UK Music Manager, Feedy Frizzi, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Festivals Unite and all the teams that are donating tickets to some of the most highly anticipated festivals of the summer. I’m a strong believer that music fans truly care about making a positive impact, and this prize draw is the perfect opportunity for them to do just that while getting the chance to see some of their favourite artists live. War Child’s teams around the world are working to provide life saving support and long term, specialist care to ensure the safety and recovery of some of the world’s most vulnerable children, and the money raised here will be vital in allowing our teams to continue to do this.”

AIF CEO John Rostron said: “Festivals are places of love, joy and jubilation, something that everybody should be able to experience but that is so far away from the devastating reality faced by the millions of children that War Child seeks to protect on a daily basis. By bringing together the UK festival community for this campaign, we can not only raise funds for a worthy cause but also demonstrate the good that both festivals and festival-goers can do.”

About War Child UK

War Child is driven by a single goal – ensuring a safe future for every child affected by war.

War Child works in some of the hardest-to-reach places to support those who are hardest hit. It aims to reach children as quickly as possible when conflict breaks out and stays long after the cameras have gone to support them through their recovery. War Child works with local communities and governments to help protect and educate children, and support them to heal and learn, for a safer, brighter future. Because one child caught up in conflict is one child too many.

War Child understands children’s needs, respects and stands up for their rights, and puts them at the centre of everything it does. War Child boldly campaigns on the root causes of conflict and helps to amplify children’s voices, so that it can advocate for change on the issues that matter to them.

Together with its partners, War Child delivers vital work in 13 countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Every day, its local teams are in communities and refugee camps creating safe spaces for children to play, learn, and access psychological support. War Child also specialises in responding rapidly to emergency crisis situations as they happen, offering immediate and critical aid to keep children safe and help them through their trauma. War Child will never give up on children affected by conflict.
